OperaViva is auditioning for Singers.
Dear auditioneers,
OperaViva together with creative director Chandran Lingam, music director Darrell Ang will be holding auditions for male and female singers for it's upcoming production of FENCES, a unique opera written by Dr John Sharpley and Mr Robert Yeo that will premier in August 2012.

Applicants should:
- Have some theatrical / music experience.
- Be able to read a western music score.
- 3. Prepare a short aria. You can choose to either bring an accompanist or we will provide for one.
- Read a short monologue. You have the option to prepare your own or accept an imprompt reading from the libretto of FENCES.
Application is for a singing part, either a particular role or as a member of the chorus.

EMILY OF EMERALD HILL: Interpretations and Re-interpretations

STELLA KON comes from seven generations of Peranakan families and both her parents were born in Emerald Hill Road. From this background she wrote the play EMILY OF EMERALD HILL which has become the most often produced play in Singapore theatre.
Born in Edinburgh, she was educated entirely in Singapore, then lived in Malaysia and Britain. She has lived in Singapore since 1987. She is a multiple winner of the Singapore Playwriting competition, also the author of other plays, novels, poems and short stories. Since 2002, she has turned to writing musicals and has written many musicals with Musical Theatre Live! of which she is the Chairperson.
Following the guest speaker, our members will entertain us.
